Syncify ("we", "us", or "our") is a Shopify application designed to help merchants synchronize tracking data for orders paid via PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, and other platforms. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use our app and services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information from merchants who install and use Syncify:

Shopify Store Information: store name, store URL, email address, phone number.
Order & Fulfillment Data: order number, fulfillment ID, timestamps, tracking numbers, carrier names, and shipping addresses.
Third-Party Transaction Data: payment gateway identifiers, transaction IDs, capture details, and disbursement information (from PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, etc.).
App Usage Data: feature usage metrics, logs, timestamps, and interactions for debugging and analytics.

We do not collect or store credit card numbers or sensitive financial account credentials.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Syncify application.
  • To process and sync tracking numbers with supported payment platforms.
  • To generate insights and performance dashboards for merchants.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud.
  • To communicate with users about support requests, product updates, or service changes.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We only share information with:

  • Shopify via its APIs.
  • Payment Platforms (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) to sync tracking numbers and fulfill related tasks.
  • Service Providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure) that are under contractual obligation to keep data confidential.

4. Data Retention

We retain merchant and order-related data for as long as you use the app. You can request deletion of your data at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us directly.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We may use cookies or local storage to enhance your app experience (e.g., remembering login sessions). No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., EU/EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • File a complaint with a data protection authority
